One of the things I want to draw and do I’d learn to draw with my left hand so when my right gets tried I can just switch hands.
I found this actually super useful forcing me to draw quicker, look harder at the model. It also meant I couldn’t spend too long on details. Definitely gonna try to keep up this practice!

the more I attend these sessions the fast I feel like I get with my gesture drawing. My 30 second poses are always my favourite because they feel more dynamic and in motion.
One thing Vanessa suggested to me was to not get as carried away with details especially on the 3 minute poses if I need to it’s ok to more around the room for another angle. Also exaggerating poses is encouraged, this kind of life drawing differs to what I’m used to. It’s about breaking the body down and drawing the action not what we see

Cause I have my dumb little issue with paper waste I did all of these on procreate which even allowed me to animate some of the life drawings which was really fun.

As much as I love life drawing, when i was studying illustration we had to do a full day of it and I already have a bad attention span so you can imagine it was soul destroying.
Doing life drawing like this tho were each pose is so fast, I really loved it and it jkept my attention the entire way through.
